From May 1, at the latitude of Murmansk, the period of white nights began, which for three weeks, until May 21, precedes the polar day.

Every day, the white night will gradually lighten until the sun stops setting over the horizon. May 22 will come the polar day, which will last 62 days – until July 22. This is the time when the sun does not set below the horizon and can shine in your eyes even late at night!

Then again comes the period of white nights, which will last until August 15.
