The Lapland Reserve is almost 100 years old, and in addition to the residence of the Russian Father Frost, there is a lot of interesting things here for tourists and researchers. The territory of the reserve is huge and amounts to 278435 hectares, 8574 of which is the water area (lakes and rivers). This size makes the reserve one of the largest in Europe and the largest in the northern region of the “Old World”.
Climb Mount Yelnyun-2, take a walk along the path along Chunozero lake or go to the “Pochemuchka Forest” quest trail to find out what the northern nature is rich in and what animals live in the reserve.
The large territory of the reserve allows you to walk on snowshoes on the territory of the Monchetundra mountain ranges in winter. Also this is a great chance to visit the residence of Father Frost himself, participating in games and exciting master classes.
