In Monchegorsk the first time will host the International Poetry Festival “Taburetka”

It offers educational lectures, poetry readings, contests, interactive display of art objects.
In 2015, the Foundation “Live Classics” with the support of MMC “Norilsk Nickel” in Monchegorsk within the framework of the All-Russian contest of ideas of literary landmarks “Literary trail” has been established art object “Poetic stool.” The new monument becomes a place of creative meetings. Since August 28, at the art object “Stool” will be self-titled festival – “stool.”
Poetry Festival “Stool” will unfold in several stages: the concert – about the monument, master classes and lectures – in tents in the park. Also it offers surprises, competitions, literary buffet.
In Monchegorsk come poets and artists from Sweden, Norway, Finland, as well as St. Petersburg, Moscow, Murmansk region.
The festival will show interactive installation “Mirotochenie” Helen Demi-Annual and Oleg Makarov.
It is also preparing for the festival historically important project – the embodiment of poetic generator Boris Katz. In 1978, in the journal “Automation and Remote Control” Academy of Sciences published an article “On the program, write poetry,” in which an algorithm that creates poetry rhyming dictionary OEMandelshtama (collection “Stone”) was considered. During the festival, audiences will be able to see the incarnation of the text of the machine.
Mediapoet Natalia Fedorova hold a master class for students and youth “Exercises for Language Arts.” The boys try themselves in the genre of visual poetry (the connection of art and literature), and learn about the history of this area, leading the readout from the second century BC
In conjunction with media artist Anna Tolkacheva the festival saamiyazychnye authors from Russia and the Nordic countries will create an interactive installation “nomadic poetry.”
The program also planned award ceremony for winners of the poetry competition on the theme of cities Monchegorsk, Polar, Nickel and Kola MMC production, which started on the Day of Metallurgist.
