From 2 to 7 August in the Murmansk region will be wandering Festival “Alluring Worlds. Ethnic Russia. ” It is traditionally timed to the International Day of World’s Indigenous People on August 9 and is intended to unite the Russian general cultural space for the promotion of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia, preserving unique national cultures and the development of their infrastructure.
“Alluring Worlds. Ethnic Russia “- the country’s only nomadic festival, which is the traditional and modern culture of indigenous peoples of the Russian North. The format corresponds to the way of life of these people – the festival roams the cities of the country.
In 2016 the festival will take place in two federal districts – Northwest and the Far East, including in five regions – the Republic of Karelia, Murmansk region, St. Petersburg, the Amur region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The residents of the Murmansk region will see the performances of the festival in Kirovsk, Lovozero, Monchegorsk, Gadzhiyevo, and Murmansk Olenegorsk.
The culture of indigenous peoples of Russia will be represented by ethnic concerts, exhibitions of traditional life, traditional crafts exhibitions, photo exhibitions, video screenings, interactive creative laboratory. Total planned 30 events. Multi-genre program allows to present a palette of ethnic cultures from authentic to modern forms.
The festival will be attended by representatives of 12 Indigenous Peoples of Russia: Evens, Evenki, Koryak, Itelmen, Nenets, Dolgan, Nganasan, Veps, Saami, Seto, Chukchi – holders of traditional cultures that use in his work folklore material.
The festival will begin his tour on July 30 with performances in the Republic of Karelia. Tour of the Murmansk region will begin with a concert in Kirovsk on 2 August.
In the towns and villages of the Kola Peninsula speak Honored Artist of Russia and Altai Bolot Bairyshev (Altai) – a world-famous performer of traditional Altai throat singing kai – the oldest musical genre.
Traditional songs and songs composed by the Russian North will perform the romantic Vladimir Khomenko (Evenkia).
Svetlana Giuna (Chukotka) will delight the audience faces unique dancing talent. This young woman has more than 20 years of keen song-dance art of the Eskimos and the Chukchi.
Koryak folk ensemble “Angt” ( “Holiday”) will amaze spectators spectacular show. Unique folklore Koryak land combined with the achievements of the national choreography, supported by a professional set design allows the team to serve as a hallmark not only of Kamchatka, but the whole of Russia. The Even national ensemble “Nulgur” ( “Nomads”) of the Kamchatka Territory will present traditional and ritual culture of Evens: dances, tribal music, gorlohripenie, onomatopoeia birds and animals. Modern life and life Evens dedicated an entire section of the ensemble’s creativity, with ethnographic precision reflecting character traits of these people.
Sami Theatre “Ellmannt” traditions (Murmansk region) will open a world audience Sami legends, revealing it in the theater and dance compositions, sketches, and reconstruction of the rites of ancient Sami dances.
